Laurens Academy honored its athletes on Facebook, making the announcements live on Thursday night.

First, the varsity awards …

In football, Thomas Lowry was Most Valuable Player. Diamonte Grant was Defensive MVP, and Cal Robertson was Offensive MVP. The Coach’s Award went to Reles Littleton.

The volleyball awards went to: Katelyn Suttles, MVP; Hustle, Emily Abercrombie; Proverbs 14:23 Award, Madison Sherman; Most Improved, Payton Breen.

Football cheer awards went to: Most Creative, Abercrombie, Callie Meyerholtz; Most Improved, Bianca Pasqualotto; Most Spirited, Gabriela Maboni.

The sporting clays honors went to: Most Improved, Tristen Bates; Highest Average (boys), Jonas Smith; Highest Average (girls), Brantley Armstrong.

Winners of boys’ basketball awards were: MVP, Caio Rita; Defensive MVP, Robertson; 3-Point Award, Grant; Toughness Award, Lowry.

Girls’ basketball winners were: Co-MVP, Reagan Williamson, Blair Quarles; TNT Award, Payton Breen; Joshua 1:9 Award, Sara Grace Natiello.

Winning in cross country were: MVP (boys), Andrew Codington; MVP (girls), Ivy Codington; Most Improved (boys): Dimitri Lucchese; Most Improved (girls), Abby Howard; Coach’s Award, Smith.

The boys’ basketball winners were: Offensive MVP, Braydon Burke; Defensive MVP, Jerod Willard; Toughness, Garrett Murphy; Coach’s Award, Paxton.
