As has been the practice in recent years, the cross country teams of Laurens and Clinton plan to run the game ball to Laurens, site of Friday night’s football game between the two rivals.

The festivities on the Laurens Square begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, where the LDHS football players, coaches and cheerleaders are to be introduced.

The ceremonies in the Square – and a pep rally – have been organized by several of “the football moms” of the Raider team. The game ball is to be passed off in the Square between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m.

In spite of 11 digs from Anna Taylor, 9 digs and 4 aces by Aubrey Wardell, 6 kills and 2 blocks by Kamryn George and 6 kills apiece by Mattie Strange and Callie Wzorek …

… Ninety Six still defeated Laurens 3-0 (25-15, 30-28, 25-12) on Monday.

The Raiders won the junior varsity match 2-1 (25-17, 18-25, 15-12). Emma Liner had 4 kills and 3 aces.
