Clinton High School is beginning summer workouts in several sports over the next week.

Volleyball players may come to the high school on Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon, for an athletic physical. The cost is $25. All players must have a new physical on file by July 1, in order to participate in summer workouts and practices. For questions about physicals, please contact Dr. Nora Ann Pace (noraannpace@lcsd56g.com).

During a virtual meeting, student-athletes will meet coaches and receive the summer conditioning schedule.

Head CMS football coach Ryan Caughman asks that any rising 7th- or 8th-graders interested in playing football in 2020 stop by the main gym entrance at CMS and pick up an information packet. Workouts for middle school football are scheduled to start Tuesday, June 30.

Varsity boys’ head coach Eddie Romines has released the following information regarding 2020 summer workouts. If you have specific questions, contact him via email: eddieromines@lcsd56g.com or 864-923-3000.

Summer workouts will begin on June 22. Returning varsity and JV players will begin on June 22. Rising 9th-grade players will begin on June 24. All players must have a current physical.

Players can get a new physical on June 20 in the CHS main gym from 12:30-2:00. Cost is $25. Each player will need to bring his own water bottle and mask (face covering).

All Covid-19 guidelines, policies, and procedures sent by Dr. Pace, athleticsdirector Louie Alexander and the S.C. High School League must be followed.

Workouts will be from 5:30-6:45 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in the main and auxiliary gymnasiums. Dates are June 22, 24, 29, July 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20 and 22.
