It was boys’ tennis played on courts, but Clinton’s 6-0 victory over Chapman on Thursday was more like par for the course as the Red Devils play through Region 3-3A.

The Panthers won one game in singles and defaulted in the one doubles match played.

It was senior day at the Clinton Middle School courts, where the top two players, Ike Waldron and Anders Orr, were honored for their careers.

Waldron defeated Grant Kinlaw 6-0, 6-0. Orr defeated Matt Davis 6-0, 6-1. Connor Donley defeated Sam Carroll 6-0, 6-0. Nathan Meade defeated Owen Walker 6-0, 6-0. Edwin Orr defeated defeated Grayson Pruitt 6-0, 6-0.

The doubles team of Eli Brewer and Henry Curtis won by default.

Clinton (8-0, 7-0 region) visits Emerald on Monday at 5 p.m. in Greenwood. The Red Devils blanked the Vikings 6-0 at home on Wednesday.
