GREENWOOD – Clinton High’s cross country teams finished 11th in both the boys’ and girls’ races atJ. the Lakelands Invitational, held at Oasis Farms of Connie Maxwell.

Eastside won the boys’ meet with 63 points, followed by J.L. Mann with 67 and Catawba Ridge with 75. Clinton had 303 points. Other Region 3-3A schools participating were Broome (7th), Emerald (15th), Chapman (16th) and Woodruff (17th) in a field of 19.

The Red Devils were led on a soggy course by William Reid, who finished 27th with a time of 18:04. Also in the top 100 were Joey Ardelt, 72nd at 19:29; Daniel Wyatt, 74th at 19:33; Connor Donley, 77th at 19:41; Hayden Miner, 81st at 19:43, Keenen Dominick, 90th at 19:52; and Sam Gearheart, 94th at 20:00.

Mann won the girls’ meet with 21 points, followed by Seneca with 55 and Riverside with 75. Clinton scored 338 points for 11th in a field of 19. Other region schools were Woodruff (7th), Chapman (15th) and Broome (17th).

Elizabeth Reid paced the Red Devils, finishing 26th with a time of 21:32. Others in the top 100 were Dorothy Trent, 80th at 24:34; Erin Donley, 82nd at 24:44; and Hope Conaway, 85th at 25:02.
