Clinton High School’s Upstate Class 3A baseball playoff game at Powdersville is to be broadcast live on WPCC-FM 96.5 (and streaming at Largetime.net) on Monday at 5:55 p.m.

Laurens’ 4A game at A.C. Flora (in Columbia) starts at 7 p.m. but is not be broadcast.

In Powdersville, tickets are available but fans must provide correct change for $8 tickets. Another option is to buy tickets at the Powdersville athletics website.

At A.C. Flora, all tickets for the Laurens game must be purchased online at this site.

Every team that Clinton has played in the playoffs – and one that it didn’t – has beaten Berea by exactly 15 runs either in regular or post-season.

In fact, the Red Devils defeated the Bulldogs, 15-0, in their playoff opener.

Pendleton defeated Berea, 15-0, in the regular season. Powdersville won, 15-0 (and also 18-5), in the regular season. Fairfield Central beat Berea, 16-1, in the playoffs.

The Red Devils finished 10th in the 3A Upstate golf tournament, won by Wren in Williamston on Monday.

Clinton shot 358, led byJavi Carles who shot an 84 while Mia Carles shot 86, Luke McMurray 91 and Lukas Kuykendall 97.

Greenwood Christian handed Laurens Academy a 10-5 softball loss on Monday night.

The Crusaders banged out 10 hits – Campbell Sherman, Olivia Suttles, Lillie Davenport and Olivia Huck each had 2.

Huck only gave up 2 hits in the circle, but LA committed 9 errors and all the runs were unearned.
