Neal Todd fired a 69 to win the Laurens County Amateur over the weekend at Lakeside Country Club, where T.D. Todd Jr. won the county’s Senior Amateur with a 73.

Rain shortened the annual tournament to a single round and Todd won by a stroke over Mattie Wiggins.

Walter Todd and Thomas Todd both shot 71 to tie for third, and there were also two knotted at 73 (Walt Todd and Weston Bell) and 74 (Tyler Croxton and Kris Hornberger).

Rounding out the field were Austin Johnson (75), Phil Milner (80), Justin Foster (81), Peyton Spangler an Clay O’Rear (84) and Jason Berryman (85).

In the seniors event, Frank Finley fell four strokes off the pace with a 77. Gary Allen and Jimmy Garrett shot 78, Don Newsom 81, Tommy Dukes 83, Brad Holmes 84 and Jim Coleman 86.
