It’s golf season at Presbyterian College.

Kind of.

With all the autumn tournaments off and the athletics department in COVID-19 exile, the golf teams have kept themselves occupied by holding tournaments of their own. The men completed their Two-Man Challenge intrasquad event, and the women completed the opening round of their double-elimination match-play tourney.

Sophomore Thomas Hollingsworth and freshman Columb Knight posted the top two scores of the fifth and final round to rally and win the men’s tournament.

Hollingsworth fired the only sub-par round on a tough day at Musgrove Mill Golf Club, carding a 71 (-1), while Knight (73, +1) finished just two strokes behind his partner, helping the team to an even-par 144 total for the day. The duo headed into the final round in fifth place, 14 strokes behind the leaders.
