Greenville blanked the Laurens’ girls’ tennis team for the second time on Monday. The latter 7-0 victory left the Raiders at 3-3, both overall and in Region 2-4A, and put an end to a 3-match win streak.

The Red Raiders just had the ones who wear green outmanned, or, perhaps, outgirled.

Coach Lynne Todd said LDHS battled hard. She told them, “Go out to the court and keep moving. Movement is one of the key elements in tennis in order to retrieve returns.

“Greenville takes the ball early and hard in their returns. You have to be on your toes to get to their shots.”
