Laurens girls’ tennis passed its first non-region test on Monday, defeating Abbeville, 6-1.

The Raiders won everywhere but at No. 4 singles, but the Panthers made them work for every point.

“Every line had long rally points against their opponents,” coach Lynne Todd said. “It was very hard to get the point no matter how hard the Raider girls hit the ball. Abbeville was very steady.”

Singles: Kelsie Little won 6-0. 6-3. Anna Jenkins won 6-1, 6-0. Bella Youseff won 6-4, 6-0. McKenzie Little lost 6-7, 4-6. Bella Burrafato won 6-1, 6-1.

Doubles: Jenkins-Youseff won 8-4. Skylar Douglas-Casey Partee won 8-6.
