GREENVILLE – Laurens found difficulty both in the opposition and the course in a girls’ golf loss to Region 2-4A opponent Greenville at The Preserve at Verdae.

The Red Raiders totaled 197; the regular Raiders, 243.

It was the first time playing The Preserve at Verdae in over 4 years for our team,” coach Jim Iacuone said. “None of our current players [was] on the team back then. I thought we played better than our last few matches on a course that is by far the most difficult we’ve played this season.”

Scoring for Laurens were Anna Gray Rowland 47, Bryson Cruickshanks 58, Lane McCracken 69 and Julie Kennedy 69.

The last home match for LDHS is Thursday, Oct., against Eastside at Lakeside Country Club.

Raiders girls’ tennis picked up a 5-2 region match against Greer in the season’s final home match.

Singles: Kelsie Little lost 6-1, 1-6 (0-1). Anna Jenkins won 6-1, 6-2. Bella Youseff won 6-2, 6-1. McKenzie Little won 6-1, 6-1. Bella Burrafato won 6-1, 6-1.

Doubles: Jenkins-Youseff) lost 7-8. Skylar Douglas-Casey Partee won 6-2, 7-5.
