Charleston Resident Wins $500,000 in Second-Chance Lottery Drawing

RALEIGH – Charleston, S.C. resident William Wood struck gold in a recent second-chance lottery drawing, winning a $500,000 prize reported by Wccb Charlotte.

Wood discovered his win on Wednesday after receiving an email notification from the lottery regarding the $10 Million Spectacular Second Chance drawing. His entry was one among more than 1.9 million.

On Monday, Wood claimed his prize at lottery headquarters. After mandatory federal and state tax deductions, he took home $357,500.

Players have the opportunity for a second chance by scanning their $10 Million Spectacular tickets into their lottery accounts, automatically entering them into the drawing. Wood secured his win in the second of four $10 Million Spectacular Second Chance drawings. The next drawing is scheduled for March 5.
